Anatoli Kinakh was born in the village of Bratushany, Yedynetsky disrtict, Moldova.
Education - higher. In 1978 he graduated from the Leningrad Shipbuilding Institute, shipbuilder-engineer, Academician with the Ukrainian Academy of Economic Cybernetics.
In 1990 he was elected a people's deputy to the Verkhovna Rada.
In 1992 - 1994 was appointed the President's representative to the Mykolaiv region
In 1994 - 1995 he chaired the Mykolaiv Regional Council of people's deputies
In 1995 he was appointed a member of the commission for drafting a concept of state industrial policy for 1996 - 2000.
In 1995 - 1999 was appointed Vice Prime Minister for Industrial Policies with the Governments of Yevhen Marchuk, Pavlo Lazarenko, Valeri Pustovoitenko.
In 1997 was appointed first deputy chairman of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
In 2001 he chaired the Committee for industrial policies and the committee for economic policies, management of the people's economy, property and investments.
In 2001 was appointed Prime Minister of Ukraine.
In 2003 he chaired the Federation of Employers of Ukraine.
Married, has three daughters.
